| Received the following from a descendant:
"Halsey Cutler Elithorpe was born about 1837 in Ohio. According to his Civil War Records "Mustered out of army near Chicago for high fever, returned home and died 4 weeks later". He died 22 Oct 1862 in Reading {Livingston Co} Illinois. His wife Charity moved onto Missouri later that year with her family and her 3 children: Mary Elizabeth Elithorpe, Angelia Elithorpe and John William Elithorp {who died very young}. She remarried l87l to a John Turner in Livingston Co, Missouri. His mother I believe was a Waitstill Elithorp, she remarried to a Albert Wellman, who died within a few years, she might have remarried." |
