DAVID CAIRNS TAKEN BY DEATH
Funeral services will be held from Elias funeral home Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Wednesday and will continue until time of the services. Interment will be in Moon Point Cemetery. The son of James (Margaret) Cairns he was born Aug. 5, 1893 in Reading Township. He was united in marriage with Nellie Baldwin December 31, 1921 in Ottawa. He is survived by his wife, and one daughter, Mrs. Orlyn (Laverne) Lentman and three grandchildren of Streator; three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Marvin of California, Mrs. John Bermes and Miss Helen Cairns of Streator; also one brother, James, of Streator; and four stepbrothers, James and Thomas McDonald of Streator; William of Minnesota, and David of California. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Willaim, Robert and John and one sister, Mrs. Robert Soulsby. Mr. Cairns had farmed in Reading township most of his life, and he had lived in this city for four years. |
