Mrs. Bakalar

   Mrs. Anna Bakalar, 84, 2027 S. Bloomington St., died Monday at 1145am in St. Mary's hospital, where she had been a patient one day.  She had been in ill health for the past three years.
   She was born Oct. 28, 1888, in Streator, to John and Anna (Marko) Sholtis.  She married Micheal Bakalar who died in 1954.
   Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. from St. Paul's Lutheran church.  Visitation is scheduled at Winterrowd funeral home Wednesday from 4 - 9 p.m. and Thursday until 10 a.m. when the body will be taken to the church for services.  Burial will be in Moon cemetery. 
  The deceased was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church and lived in Streator all of her lifetime. 
   Preceding in death were her husband, two brothers, a sister, a son, a daughter, and a grandson. 
   Survivors include six children: Mrs. Andrew (Mary) Remeta, Irene Bakalar, Mrs. Jack (Louise) Higgins and Mayor Theodore Bakalar, all of Streator; Micheal Bakalar, Salem, Oregon; and Mrs. James (Pearl) Hill, Phoenix, Ariz.; 19 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
