What To Expect
How the idea came about
All interview sessions will be about two hours long.  This is enough time to get some real work done without over extending anyone.

The following is a very general description of how I see the project progressing.  Since this is a learning process, none of this is carved in stone.  This is a starting point only.  Where it goes from here is as unique and individual as your life.

The first interview session will be an initial consultation to discuss the following:
General Scope of the project including:

Length of time, duration of the project, drop date if
               applicable
          Final Product
               Size
               Format and presentation
               Publication and distribution
               Structure
                    Time Line
                    Stories to Include
                    Photos and graphics
                    General Tone
                    Family Tree
     Scheduling availability of all parties
Initial biography for Timeline and/or Family Tree
Inventory of possible items to include
Legal documents; birth, death, marriage, graduation and
               professional certificates
Written documents: Letters, diaries, journals, newspaper
               and magazine articles
Heirlooms and Memorabilia:  Clothing items, craft or art
               projects, awards, collections
          Photographs
               Important occasions
               Important  people
               Treasured moments
               Favorite pets
               Important homes and places
The second session will include:
     Preliminary schedule
First draft of the Scope of the project
First  draft of the initial biography
     First recorded interview
The third session will include:
A revised schedule based on the previous session
A revised Scope of the project based on the previous
               session
One (1) hard copy first draft of the previous session's
           recorded interview
One (1) hard copy of any items scanned or photographed
               from the previous session
     Interview time as available
The fourth session will include:
     A tentative final schedule
A final Scope of the project
One (1) hard copy first draft of the previous session's
          recorded interview
One (1) hard copy of any items scanned or photographed
           from the previous session
     Interview time as available

As time goes on and we learn to work together as a team, more time will be spent in actual recording and less with setting up the project.   Once the Schedule and Scope are established, the next sessions will primarily consist of:
One (1) hard copy, first draft of the previous session's
               recorded interview
One (1) hard copy of any items scanned or photographed
              from the previous session
Final revisions as agreed on and available
     Interview time as available
