1927 Peter Pirsch The original pumper of the Fire Department. Totally restored and winner of many awards, this truck represents the long and rich history of a department that has been around since 1880.
1962 Chevrolet Pumper This truck has a 750 Gallon Tank and a 500 GPM pump. It was sold to Olmsted, IL Fire Department in May 2003 for $1. This truck replaced Olmsted's 1963 Pumper.
1974 Chevrolet Rescue Truck When purchased in 1974, this rescue truck became one of the workhorses of the department. It "rolls" on almost every call the department has had in this truck's nearly 30 years of service. For a time, it also served as Mt. Olive's second ambulance. Today, it hauls manpower and auxillary equipment to every fire and rescue scene.
1981 Ford Pumper In the last 2 decades, "Engine 81" has been the mainline pumper for the department. With a 750 Gallon Tank and 1000 GPM Pump, it helps to put the "wet stuff on the red stuff". It transports a driver and officer in the cab, and three firefighters on a rear facing bench seat.
1985 International Tanker Simply known as "Tanker" or "85", this truck always answers the call when needed. This big green beauty carries 1500 gallons of water and also has a 750 gallon pump. "Tanker" has been around for 18 years, and will probably serve another 18.
2002 Smeal Pumper/Rescue "Engine 510" was built to be both our mainline pumper, and to replace the aging Rescue. This truck is on a custom built chassis, has a 1500 GPM Pump and 1000 gallon tank. It will also hold all of our rescue tools (Jaws of Life, Lifting Bags, Saws, Etc). This truck will be the new backbone of the department. For additional info on "Engine 510", click here.
