Mt. Olive Volunteer Fire Department
Established 1880
Do you want to be a firefighter?
It may seem like an easy question,  but it is a challenging one.  If  you have desire to serve your community and its citizens, then volunteering as a member of the Mount Olive Fire Department might be for you.  As a fire fighter, we sometimes face life threatening situtations, and sometimes see unpleasant things, but it is all for the reward of helping people when they need it the most.  The biggest reward a volunteer firefighter can get is saving the life of someone they know from their own community.
If you are interested in becoming a fire fighter and have lived in the Mount Olive Fire District for more than 1 year, contact any fire fighter you may know or one of the people on the Officers Page for more information.  You may also email us.

A Junior FireFighters Program is also available for individuals ages 16-18.  Please contact Junior FireFighter President Adam Viehweg. for more information.

Finally, the Mount Olive Area Ambulance Service also takes volunteers in the form of EMT's and Drivers.  Contact Joan Schoen at 217-999-7412.
