ANDY LAMB
Calling, Vocals, Banjo, Melodeon and Trumpet
The elder statesman of the Mounthoolies, Mr Lamb has an extensive musical pedigree stretching back to his time as a bugling boy soldier in The Royal Artillery. Since then, he has played with many bands including The Hackney Martians, The Amazing Ptomanian Embassy Whoopie Cushion Ensemble, The Four Oysters, and the Deptford Creek Mountain Boys. Recently, as well as playing and recording with the Mounthoolies, Andy has played and recorded with The Chap Collective. Andy also has a wealth of experience as a solo performer. In 2001 he released his own album, Sporting & Military, with his band, The Alligator Horses. Because he lives far away in the dreaming spires of Oxford, Andy can't always be with us for all our gigs, but he is our regular caller for barn dance bookings and as a caller there are very few, if any, can match him.
