HEY, YOU'VE FOUND US! NOW JOIN US!
So what kind of club are we?
The Arizona Z Car Club is a well established Z Car club with a long tradition, recognized locally, nationally and internationally. We are a group of ENTHUSIAST/MEMBERS that are dedicated to the preservation of the z car and are continually involved in that effort. These folks are recognized in national and international circles and have a substantial influence with how the z car has and will continue to evolve.
These members have been involved with the z car for over 30 years bringing a wealth of knowledge, expertise, and background found no where else.
Therefore, we have decided to change the format a bit, and concentrate/focus on our primary interests which is the preservation and evolution of the Datsun/Nissan lineage through the Z Car, 510, roadster, etc. We also make an effort to assist in promoting other z groups/associations to do what they do well.
In that way it is clear what we do and what we don't do, and we can all share cooperatively in the collective Z Car effort.
For instance if your interest is to go to monthly meetings and socializing functions, then their are other groups/organizations that do that more often. We have have them, of course, just limited.
Here is what we offer our members:
(1) A great DISCOUNT PROGRAM on parts and labor at
major area dealers, and local and national vendors, businesses and services,
(2 Enthusiast/members with ACCESS to PERFORMANCE parts, wheels, tires and accessories not offered any where else,
(3) QUALITY EVENTS-We have limtied events and will no longer sacrifice quality, for quantity. In other words, have an event for the sake of having an event. It is not fun for any one, to have one or two people show for an event, where there was a lot of planning and effort involved.
(4) Access to ENTHUSIASTS/MEMBERS that have a lot of actual experience working on z cars.
That is a lot of bang for the buck. We think it is fair to say that.

One of the main events is Saturday's Auto Cross. Past President, Preston Pratt, is invited back every year, by MotorSport Auto, to be one of the Auto Cross instructors - here he is instructing his students on the proper line through the Auto Cross course. He and his students are "walking the course", which is strongly recommended to become familiar with the course layout.

This is Dave Oviedo in his very impressive 240. Preston and Dave worked hard to prepare this car for this event, and it certainly shows! Dave did much of work including the suspension improvements and Preston did the super tuning, tweeking, SU carb rebuilding, distributor reworking, precise timing settings and other special 240Z secrets. Dave's 240Z was among the fastest car at the track that day. Check below for track times.
