Mothers & More meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month at 7 pm at alternating locations - Keller Williams American Home Realty or Bel Air Library. Topics vary, but there's always time for lively discussion and to socialize with other members!
Mom-n-Tot Outings
Looking for something to do with your little ones? Then come to a Mom 'n' Tot outing! You will love it. We have a lot of great things planned.
Our social committee is coming up with a lot of new ideas and more fun things to do. Come and join us. We hope to see you there!
In the past, these have included a train ride, visit to a firehouse, visit to a pumpkin patch, visit to a farm and scheduled park outings.
Mom's Night Out
Our social committee has organized several fun activities. These activities have included pot luck dinners, miniature golf, ice skating, movie nights, several dinners at local restaurants (including the Avenue in White Marsh) and a dinner cruise.
Playgroups
We offer playgroups in our Mothers & More chapter, consisting of children ranging in age from infant to preschool. Members are placed into groups according to age of children and time and weekday availability.
Playgroups typically meet once a week in members' homes and outside at parks during warmer weather. Some groups organize additional special activities for its members and families. The playgroups also take turns planning Mom 'n' Tot activities for the entire chapter, enabling members to get to know other moms and their children outside of their own group setting.
Care Committee
Our Care Program was established to support our members and their families through challenging times. For new moms and family medical emergencies, we provide meals, child care, carpool rides for kids and whatever might be needed. We also provide conversational support with others that have shared a challenging experience i.e., surgery, miscarriage, loss of a loved one, breastfeeding, illnesses, etc. We try to help in any way we can to ease an otherwise challenging situation.
Advocacy
In the past, the Harford County chapter has participated in and/or sponsored many advocacy projects which were as follows. The Harford County chapter had its first Safety Fair in conjunction with Home Depot wherein exhibitors were on hand sharing their knowledge on different topics to help protect our children; we had a Harvest for the Hungry food drive at the Giant Food in Bel Air wherein we collected several shopping carts of food and raised money for the local food pantry; we have adopted several families for the holidays wherein we bought gifts and contributed food and money so that we could provide each family with a complete meal for the holidays; along with a safety seat check in conjunction with K.I.S.S. (Kids In Safety Seats). The chapter looks forward to continuing its outreach in the community and helping others by continuing to have at least two advocacy projects per year.
