Owlpen Manor 23/03/04 Reviewed by Stephen

Series 4 of Most Haunted started with a visit to Owlpen Manor, a supposed haunted location with a history dating back more than a thousand years. The investigation started slowly but things soon began to happen when the team went to investigate the attic area.
In the attic the team was joined by another medium called Ian Lawman, who recently appeared in Living TV's I'm famous and frightened.

Once in the attic, the team started to hear strange noises, bumps and thuds that appeared to be coming from a door that linked into the attic space. When the team went to investigate, Karl (the producer) was hit on the back of the head by a book thrown by something unknown! As the night progressed, Derek returned to the team to try and find out who was causing the activity. He picked up on a spirit called Daniel, who he says did evil things in his life and continues to cause havoc even now.

No sooner had Derek returned, more books seem to be thrown from the shelves that hold them. A couple of books fall to the ground but another one hit a member of the team on his leg! Unfortunately none of the books are caught on camera, but a book case is actually seen to move side to side after Derek says a spirit barged past him.

Later whilst holding a seyonce Derek is possessed by the evil spirit and tries to attack Yvette after she challenges him verbally! Phil Whyman tries to step in to help and Derek grabs him around his neck before the rest of the crew step in to stop Phil and Derek from strangling each other!!

This episode of Most Haunted is one of the best yet!
