No persona may be a descendent of any of Ms. McCaffrey's characters. They are under her copyright and may not be infringed upon.
No characters may come from the following locations: Benden Hold�, Ruatha Hold�, Benden Weyr� or the Harper Hall at Fort Hold. You may use these locations in passing, but you were never there.
There are only 5 colors of dragons: gold, bronze, brown, blue and green. Ruth was the only sport dragon and there will never be another like him. All dragon names end in th and please, stay away from joke names like Death, Myth, Darth, Earth and et cetera...
Impression requirements:
Gold - Heterosexual females only
Bronze - Heterosexual males only
Brown - Heterosexual males, the rare bi-sexual male
Blue - Heterosexual, bi-sexual or homosexual males, the rare bi-sexual female
Green - Heterosexual, bi-sexual or homosexual males and females
There is no religion on Pern�. There is no magic on Pern�. There are no space aliens, no unicorns, no mythological creatures, no psychics outside of the special bond between dragon and rider. Let's just be safe and say no characters outside of Anne's world.
Weyr Rules
The following are a set of rules designed by the Weyrleadership. Yeah, we know, more of them, but every Weyr needs some rules to survive..
You CANNOT post any of the fanfic stories you write on the Internet. This is in direct violation of copyright laws. Fanfic writings and art will go in the Newsletter's only. This is a very important rule�please, we don�t want out club shut down because someone breaks this one.
No flaiming or spamming! All such messages will be ignored and if continued to be sent, member will be unsubbed.
Please DON'T send in any posts written NC-17 or above. Our Weyr does not have an age limit and we do allow more mature stories, but please use discretion on what is appropriate and what is not. Use common sense folks and if in doubt, either give a member of the BOD a shout or...~fade to black~.
There are no dragon color wars and dragons do not fight. Dragons do not set themselves above one another because of the color of their hide. Only humans apply status to themselves.
Timing is not allowed. Period. Expect punishment from the golds if you attempt such a feat!
Hearing All Dragons (also known as HAD) is a very rare talent. We will allow two personas to have this skill at a time, one female and one male. Only one persona will be a dragonrider and it may not be a bronze or gold. You must apply for these status positions. The requirements are: you must be a good member in standinf for at least six months. You must submit an essay on why you think you deserve this position and also how you would use this character in your stories (please, make it at least one page long and more than because I think it would be cool.) Any HAD personae will not be eliglible for a gold dragon or firelizard.
No Candidates may Impress a firelizard. It they did not come to the Weyr with one, they will have to wait until they graduate from Weyrling Training. The new dragons they may Impress will be taking up the majority of their time.
New personas will be allowed to have bronze, brown, blue or green firelizard. Gold and bronze are awarded by the Weyrleadership to members who are deserving.
NPCs may not have a gold or bronze firelizard.
No members may have more than 4 firelizards or two if one of them is a gold. If you have a gold, you may not have a bronze and vice versa.
Only dragons' names end in th. Please do not give your firelizard a name ending in th.
Do not forget about your firelizards! A lot of people come into the Weyr with them and then forget about them and never write them into any of their posts.
From time to time the Weyrleadership will sponser a firelizard hatching where you may request an egg. Clutches may not be found by anyone unless a wild clutch is approved by the BoD.
The Weyrleadership reserves the right to make changes to any persona belonging to anyone who has quit or dissapeared. Real life has a nasty habit of catching up with us and if you are absent for a long period of time, that's fine. Just let us know ahead of time if you can. Any persona that has been abandoned will
become property of the Weyr for us to do with as we see fit. ;-)

Finally, the Weyrleadership reserves the right to create new rules. We don't like to do this, so please, everyone follow the rules that we already have.
Requirements
These are the writing requirements here at Mornings Dawn Weyr. If you have a ranking position, you will be expected to write a certain amount of posts along with reports that may come with the aforementioned rank. We're fairly lenient, however, if we see that you're blatantly shirking your duties, the Weyrleadership has the right to take your ranking position away and award it to someone who's more than willing to fulfill the status quo.
Our club runs on a credit system. For each post you send in you will receive a certain amount of credits that will go towards you�re monthly requirement. This requirement is for each status character that you own. So, for instance, if you feel that you may not be able to meet the quota required and it�s due to owning too many high ranking characters, you may want to consider putting one up for adoption. Below, you will find a list of the different positions with the corresponding credits that are assigned to them. If you have any questions regarding these requirements, please contact the BOD.
