Her favored colors are more earthy tones, blues and greens to accent her eyes. She is almost always the one being seen in the latest style, though she does have some more old-fashioned dresses which she wears regularly Background Neona was born at Tuock Hold, the first child of a hand fasted cook and watchrider. Her first sister, Faye, was born when she was two and as they grew up the two sisters formed a close bond. But at the age of thirteen, their different interests finally broke them apart. Neona traveled to the smithcrafthall, while Faye went to the fishingcrafthall. Neona took classes in smelting and molding but after two years became bored with them, and requested to become an apprentice in glass crafting. Her request was granted and she soon began to thoroughly enjoy her studies. She walked the tables and became a journeyman at the age of eighteen. It was just a few days later that she learned of her mother's pregnancy, and returned home proudly bearing her new shoulderknot. She was allowed to stay at Tuock as the assistant glasscrafter, letting her be close to her mother but still be working at her craft. A wave of sorrow spread through the small family when twins were born, and died seven days later. Needing to get away from the sorrow, Neona was sent back to the main glasscrafthall. It was there she meet Journeyman Harper Devin, and eventually the two fell in love and became hand fasted. Nine months later a small girl was born, and both parents cared for her while juggling their work schedules. Devin and Neona lived a happy life for two turns, until Devin went to visit his aunt who'd been struck ill. It was a trip he'd never return from, a bad storm caught the small ship he was traveling on and all aboard were killed. Neona took Fauna back to her family at Tuock Hold, needing their support now that Devin was gone. Five months later she returned to the glasscraft hall, leaving Fauna with the girl's grandparents. Neona continued her studies until she felt she'd learned all that she wanted to and was ready to devote her life to caring for Fauna without her occupation getting in the way. She returned to her family and young daughter and days after her arrival Neona was searched. She accepted and both her and her daughter were whisked off to Mornings Dawn Weyr. She stood on the hatching sands and to her great joy impressed a green named Vorrayth. She fostered Fauna out to a lower cavern worker named Shandra, and began her weyrlinghood. Near a turn into her weyrlinghood her father died during a bad fall, though Neona wasn't badly affected by his death. She has an easygoing personality and is one of those people who is usually disgusting happy and very spontaneous. Most people like her, though she's a bit too into life for some. She's shaping up to be a pretty good rider, able to follow orders and she never shirks her duties. At the glasscraft hall and Tuock Hold she was considered the gossiper, the person who knew everything about everyone and loved talking about them. Due to weyrlinghood she's lost the ability (or more having the time), to know all the latest news, but she still loves talking about people even if her news is outdated. She does try and be good about her gossip and not hurt anyone, but sometimes its hard for her. Despite her rather loud mouth she's a very focused worker. She enjoys the finer things in life, from lavish food to many evenings on a sandy beach during sunset. To Neona appearance is everything. If that person isn't wearing the latest style and her hair isn't cut right, the woman will usually just brush her off as not good enough. She sometimes has a hard time expressing her own feelings to other and will usually play along with whatever someone's saying. Mating flights also embarrass her beyond words and even at the mention of one she'll start blushing furiously. It's something she'll never be comfortable with, due mainly to her being hold-bred and the fact she's a hopeless romantic. She has a fear of water after she nearly drowned when she was eight and the death of Devin. When anyone can get her on a boat, which is very rare indeed, she usually becomes very sea sick and becomes a complaining little brat for the rest of the trip. She loves to spend time with her daughter, trying to always having at least an hour per day to take Fauna for a little walk or just play with her. The two often eat dinner together. The cat is technically Fauna's cat, but Neona and Shandra usually end up caring for it Other She enjoys watching the stars and moons, always finding a quiet evening to be pleasurable by doing this hobby. She's always up for a dance at a gather. One of her big talents is sewing, allowing her to create and mend her clothing without paying a weaver to have it done. She enjoys eating sweets and rich foods, often eating them lavishly and enjoy every bite she takes. Very salty meat is also one of her favored food dishes. Her hide is a very deep green, with her wings being a touch lighter than her body but that might be due to the thinner skin. Her muzzle is also a bit more pointed than 'normal'. Personality Vorrayth is a relatively serious dragon, though she does have lighter streaks. She loves being washed, usually demanding a very good scrubbing daily unless Neona's very tired. She's a bit picky about what she eats, and insists that dragons shouldn't eat fish. She doesn't usually sun much unless it's pretty cold out, instead preferring to sit in her weyr and either think or sleep, usually the later. She also doesn't get very proddy before mating flights. Abilities She's very good at landing and takeoff and is relatively good at turning sharply. Relationships Vorrayth usually enjoys watching her rider interact with other people, sometimes even just landing on a ledge and watching the riders and people of the Weyr talking and just moving. For some reason, children totally fascinate her and she loves being around them. Flitters for the most part are ignored and most other pets are treated the same. However she hates felines, just the sight of one will either send her skittering away or acting extremely aggressively towards it. Strengths and Weaknesses She's very good at landing and takeoff and can turn well. She's not a very fast flyer as greens go, but has more stamina than some of them. Crafters Craft: Glass Crafting.
