It's relatively straight and she usually wears it in a pony tail or French style braid. Has a relatively 'clear' face without many pimples Distinguishing marks: A small mole by her left eye and several larger ones on her back. She usually wears small earrings with colorful stones set in them, and is never seen without a thin silver chain on her neck. Clothing: She usually wears relatively plain short-sleeved shirts, often cream or white in color though she does have colorful ones. In the colder months she wears basic pants, donning shorts during the warm months. Her pants are usually just a generic black/brown in color, nothing special. Aaria also enjoys wearing vests, usually a worn wherhide one with three pockets on the front. Footwear wise she almost always wears basic riding boots with just a slight heel on them. At gathers and formal occasions she'll often don a dress, though she doesn't wear them often around the Weyr. Background Aaria was born at the Weyr; the product of Luvria's green's mating flight. Shortly after her birth Luvria and the brownrider T'velran weyrmated. Her first few turns the child was relatively pampered by her parents, both of them trying to spend as much time as they could with the girl. When she was three her mother gave birth to another girl and Aaria suddenly found herself being raised almost solely by the lowercavern workers, her parents hardly even noticing she existed. Another two turns later her brother was born. It was unsure whether the boy was really T'velran's son, or the product of a mating flight, but it hardly mattered to Aaria. After Cyren's birth Aaria rarely saw her parents, being raised by the women in the lowercaverns. She was the typical weyrbrat, doing whatever task she was assigned, and her teen and preteen turns were relatively boring, including the annual trip to Luvria's parent's cothold for a week near Telgar Hold. During Aaria's twelfth turn Luvria birthed another girl, who died just a week later. When Aaria was sixteen she was first 'searched' and allowed to stand on the hatching sands. She failed to impress and went back to her normal life. A turn later her father died, the causality of a bad Fall. She had little tears to shed for him, though her siblings and mother were devastated by his death. Aaria found she had little left with her family and began to form plans of possible apprenticeship at the weaver crafthall. Her plans were put on hold when she was once again allowed to stand at the hatching sands. To her great surprise she impressed the gold Tiaath and began her weyrlinghood. Shortly after the hatching both Sylaria and Cyren were accepted as apprentices in the healerhall and herderhall. Aaria thinks very strongly that people should do as they are ordered and not make up their own rules as they go along. This is one thing that may get her in to trouble later on in life if she's been ordered to do something and just won't open herself to other ideas even if they might be better. She is usually introverted, not talking much unless spoken to, though since impressing Tiaath she'd become more willing to speak up and offer her own thoughts and ideas. She also has a hang up on always trying to do things herself, and only grudgingly asking for help after she's tried every possible way she can think of. Aaria loves watching fire, finding the way the flames flicker to be fascinating. Swimming is a favored hobby, so unless it's frigid out she enjoys bathing Tiaath and using that an excuse for a swim. She also loves exploring places, be it dark caves or along beaches, anywhere she's never been before. She likes watching people dance at gathers, but it takes a lot to persuade her to join them and she claims to be the worst dance on Pern. She doesn't enjoy most of the more feminine tasks, such as sewing or cooking. Her childhood has a lot of do with that, because the workers had a warped idea that she loved to work in the kitchens and weaver's area. She was also drafted into assisting with the younger children at the Weyr and got sick of chancing diapers and wiping dirty hands and she won't touch children with a ten foot pole now. Aaria is also scared of spiders and other bugs, usually dropping all composer and screaming at the sight of them. She isn't fond of the dark and has a dim glow acting as nightlight in her weyr when she sleeps. She is also paranoid that she'll end up searing Tiaath with her flame-thrower sometime, though that fear will probably wear off after she'd had more experience with it. Pets n/a Other She dislikes the taste of wine, owns a collection of seashells and refuses to eat poultry of any kind. Dragon Information Dragon's Name: Tiaath Color: Gold Size: Still growing, but is a relatively large gold for her age Where and When Impressed: Mornings Dawn Weyr, p09.04.24 Sire/Dam: Gold Melianth and Bronze Tavvith Wing: Daybreak Class/Weyrling Wing Physical Appearance Tiaath is a relatively deep gold in color, not enough to look like a bronze but she isn't bright gold either. She is still slender and has a bit of that adolescent dragon look to her, though she's filling out quickly. Her tail is a bit long for her body, but not really noticeable unless you stand there and scrutinize her. Her wings are a slightly lighter shade of gold than the rest of her. Personality She's a relatively serious dragon, though she often teases her rider. Tiaath is very serious when it comes to wing drills and tries to follow her instructions to the T. She has no qualms about making her disapproval, of another dragon and rider pair or her own rider, known, though Aaria usually gets the brunt of it even if the gold isn't upset at her. Abilities She's a good distance flyer, with great stamina even for a gold. She's also quite gracefully looking in flight and can land well. Relationships She's usually tolerant and sometimes even enjoys being around people other than her rider, but doesn't go out of her way to interact with them. She enjoys the company of other dragons, just to have someone to talk with besides for Aaria. For the most part she couldn't care less about fire-lizards, ignoring them completely. Other animals are treated the same way. Strengths and Weaknesses She's a strong flyer, able to stay in flight for long periods of time. She isn't very fast though, instead relying on her stamina. Tight turns are usually sluggish and awkward, due mainly to her size and usual lack of speed. She's relatively good at takeoffs and can land quite neatly.
