Brake Options
Try doing a search for G-Body Brakes on Google and you'll probably end up with about 145,000 hits on how to use B-Body GM spindles and calipers with 12" 1-LE Camaro rotors.  This has been done a million times and I really wanted to stop better and maybe drop some weight off the front end, rather than adding weight with these lead anvil-looking relics.

C5 Upgrade

I found something different on
Tony Kiszka's Monte site .  He took C5 Corvette calipers and 13" rotors and figured out how to make it work on a G-Body.  Tony estimates a total cost of about *$650.

Wilwood

Another option is Wilwood Racing's
Dynalite Pro Series front hub kit, which works with a modified G-Body spindle.  Basically you cut the "ears" off the stock spindle.  This is where the stock caliper mounts to.  The Wilwood kit, featuring 10.75" rotors,  seems to be a complete package for everything else needed.  p/n 140-2508-B.  *Summit price $612.95

S-10 Late-Model Brakes

Yet another option, although it has not been proven is late-model S-10 Blazer 2WD brakes.  They have dual-piston calipers and 11" rotors.  The pics of these are from a set that were on ebay.  The buy-it-now price was listed as *$245.

*Prices as of Oct 2003.
