Tom Bujna - A SHORT BIO -

Born in Hungary in the mid fifties, Tom fled the country, escaping the Russians and emigrated to Australia in 1957. Raised, educated and having worked for the Australian government, Tom finally returned to Hungary for only the first time in 1995. Here he met his long lost relatives and more importantly now, his wife Marti. Tom has now settled here in Hungary. Tom's interest and driving passion in life has been Hot Rods. This has dictated his live for some 35 years. In Australia Tom was heavily involved in facets of the hobby, from the administration right down to club level. He has also achieved, Master Craftsman status in Auto Restoration work. So over the many years, Tom has worked on many restoration projects, hot rods, classics and custom cars. Tom's achievements have been highly acclaimed in Australia over the years and successful enough that his work has either won national concourse awards, national awards and state title awards. His work is highly sort after, not just in Australia but also in various parts of the world. Currently he has future work in Australia, Mexico, USA, Italy and pending EU countries. Most recently Tom and some devoted car fanatics here in Hungary, established the HSRA ( Hungarion Street Rod Association), and are actively promoting hot rodding here so that it establishes a strong presence. The HSRA under the chairmanship of Tom is working positively to bring about a truely hot rod environment here in Hungary. Since his most recent return trip from overseas Tom has now established , Tom's Hot Rod Garage, a one stop, hot rod shop, here in Hungary. He will cater from restoration works to full hot rod and customs. Additionally as further support to his customer network, Tom is also importing direct, very desirable and collectable cars for the discerning collector or hobbyist.
