Chapter 5
Over the next week Dianas new family could sense that something was wrong. Diana would hide in her room at night and not speak a word to anyone. When she got mad, which was very often because of Thomas she would sometimes hunch over and growl, but would end up going back to normal. They sent her to see the doctors, but they found nothing wrong. They said that she could be getting stomachaches from all the high blood pressure she would get when she got mad. That would explain her hunching over and growling, probably from the pain.
One weekend William invited her, Thomas and their parents to join him and his family on a camp out in the woods. That weekend the full moon was out. Diana couldnt keep it inside anymore. She had kept it in for too long already. The two families that consisted of Diana, Thomas, Mr. And Mrs. Reed, Prince Charles, Harry and William were sleeping in sleeping bags around the fire. When everyone was sleeping Diana ran deep into the woods.
William wasnt totally awake, but he wasnt totally a sleep either. When he heard someone moving around he squinted into the darkness to find Diana running into the dark forest. He was about to get up and follow her when he heard howling. The wolves were out, which meant that he couldnt follow her especially in the condition that he was in. He was too tired to concentrate now, and soon fell asleep.
When he woke up he remembered what happened the night before. He looked across the little campsite to find Diana asleep in her sleeping bag next to his dog, Widgeon.
Around noon Diana woke up to the sound of laughter. Look, Ms. Sleeping Beauty is finally up. Thomas said teasingly. Oh, leave her alone. She had a long night, in fact we all did. Mr. Reed said. Well, whos hungry for some fish? Asked Charles. Diana almost puked from hearing the word fish. She was so full of fish from the night before that she wouldnt be eating anymore fish for another year or so. I would love some Im starving and Fish, fish and more fish. Were the responses to Charless question, How about you Diana? Asked Harry. No thanks. Im not hungry. Diana said lying back down.
