| Chapter 3 |
| Im going to the Burger Factory to meet Wills! I wont be back until 6pm! Thomas yelled out the backdoor to his parents. If youre not coming home until 6, bring Diana with you because were leaving for a meeting at 4. She needs the sun light, anyway. Was Mrs. Reeds reply, Thomas groaned, mum, dont make me bring her along. She doesnt get along with me or Wills. All were going to hear all day is her bickering with one of us. Thomas whined to his mum. Thomas, you just need to spend time with her. Shes not used to having a brother yet. Give her time to adjust. Mrs. Reed said to her son. I dont want some 15 year old girl spending the whole day with me and me mates. Errrr I hate having a sister all ready. Thomas grumbled to himself. Thomas sighed heavily and walked over to the base of the stairs. Diana, get your lazy butt down here! Thomas yelled up the stairs with an annoyed tone. Why should I? Asked Diana. Cause mum said you have to come with me to meet Wills. I am not going with some pig head thats my so called brother to meet some butcher! Diana yelled. Diana, dont you dare make me go up there and drag you with me all the way to the Burger factory. Mum said you have to come, so move it! Yelled Thomas. When Diana reached the last step of the stairway, Thomas grabbed her arm and pulled her out the door. Ten minutes later Thomas opened the door to the fast food restaurant. Wills saw Thomas at the door and stood up to greet his friend. Thats when he noticed that Diana was with him. Whats she doing here? Asked William. Me mum said she had to come. Thomas explained. Hey, I dont want to be here either. Now get on with your little pathetic meeting and lets go home. Diana said sitting down two chairs away from the two boys. William sat back down next to his friend. He didnt get along With Diana at all. Every time she was near him she would make rude comments about him or to him. She expressed a deep passion about hunting being a kind of murder toward animals. William got the feeling that was why she didnt like him. He thought that she would probably make a good friend if she would face the fact that he hunted. But she wouldnt. William had too much pride for his hunting skills to let her get to him. She had too much pride in her feeling for animals to let him continue to hunt. William was surprised when he found out that she didnt like him. It was odd since she was around the age of the many girls who adored him. William thought that she had a lot of guts. She was very confident, passionate, and intelligent when she wanted to be. William didnt want to admit to this, but he had a little crush on her. |
