Q: What Does “MOMS Club” stand for?
A: The “MOMS”
in MOMS Club is an acronym that stands for “Moms Offering Moms Support.”

Q: How is the MOMS Club different from other clubs that support
stay-at-home moms?
A: Each club
has their own focus. Some focus more
on the mothers, with activities and/or meetings in the evenings. Others combine worship in their
celebration of motherhood. The MOMS
Club is a club with no religious affiliations that believes that being a mother
shouldn't isolate you, so mothers may bring their children with them. We
meet during the day, when at-home mothers most need support!

Q: Do I have to be a full-time stay-at-home mom to join the MOMS
Club?
A: No. We have many members who work part time
or run a business out of their homes.
MOMS Club believes that, for women who choose it, raising children
is an important and fulfilling full-time job. There is no single right way to raise
children, but our members have a common concern in raising their children
in a healthful way.

Q: Do I have to live in Powder Springs to join the Powder
Springs Southeast MOMS Club?
A: Yes. There are many chapters in the Atlanta area that
serve the different communities. In
fact, many communities have grown so much that there are several chapters
serving a single town. If you live
in a neighboring area, there is probably a chapter that is closer to
you! To find out about the chapter closest to you, try visiting the MOMS Club
International web page at www.momsclub.org
or send an e-mail to [email protected].
Powder Springs has grown so large that we need two chapters
in order to adequately support all of the members. Our sister chapter is the MOMS Club of
Powder Springs Northwest.

Q: I live in Powder Springs.
How do I know which chapter I need to join?
A: The line dividing
the two Powder Springs Chapters (SE and NW) is marked by several local
roads: Starting at the West side of the Powder Springs map, the dividing
line is Powder Springs Road/Hwy 6 going east to the intersection
of Florence Road. It
goes north on Florence Road and then
takes a right on Shipp Road.
The line then turns back north on the Old Lost
Mountain Road and continues to Macland
and then goes east on Macland all the way across the rest of the Powder
Springs area. Our membership is to
the Southeast of this line. Click
here for a map that illustrates our membership
area.
For more information about the MOMS Club of Powder Springs
Northwest, see their web
page.

Q: How much does it cost to join the MOMS Club?
A: Our
annual fees are $20. This money
helps to cover the cost of our newsletter and other business costs as well
as helping to cover the cost of parties and activities.
<top>
Q: Are there any other fees after I join?
A:
Occasionally there might be a small fee ($1 - $2) for crafts or
parties. Or if you wish to put your
child in the children’s room at the monthly meetings, there is a small fee
for that. ALL of these are
completely optional. We make it a
priority to try to schedule low-cost or free activities on our monthly
calendars. Click here to see a sample calendar.

Q: I think I might like to attend a meeting. What do I do?
A: We meet
on the third Thursday of each month.
You may contact us by e-mail or leave a voicemail at 678-279-2783 and someone will get back
with you with more details about the precise time and location of our
meetings. We look forward to meeting
you!
