Activities
Monthly Meetings are held at First United Methodist Church of Cedar Falls (8th & Washington St). We discuss calendar planning, activity groups, service projects, etc., then have a speaker, play a game, or do a craft. A nursery and babysitter are usually available for the children. (They are also welcome at the meeting.)

MOMS Night Out is scheduled one evening a month. We usually meet at local restaurants but could go out for a movie, play games, paint pottery, etc. This is one of the few events where children are not encouraged to attend.

MOMS of Infants, Toddlers, and Preschoolers (formerly known as playgroups) meet regularly for moms to chat while their children play together, usually in members homes. All moms are welcome to attend any group, regardless of their childrens ages.

Park Days are frequent in the warmer months. Moms can chat while their children play.

Pool Days are frequent in the summer months as well.

Visits to local places of interest.  Recent examples include the Imaginarium, Childrens Museum in Iowa City, Hartman Nature Center, Arboretum, Indoor Park at the Cedar Falls Recreation Center, or storytime at the Cedar Falls library.

Walking events occur on the Cedar Falls Trail System in nice weather or at the malls in the winter.

Coffee Chats may take place at local coffee shops or in members homes.

Kitchen Club meets monthly and is open to all members. It is held in a members home and allows moms to get together to sample recipes and share recipes and tips while the children play. Potlucks for breakfast or lunch is a favorite activity for our monthly kitchen club.

Craft Club (open to all members) meets occasionally for moms to work on their projects including scrapbooking, sewing, knitting, etc.

Book Club meets monthly and is open to all members. You can attend regardless of how much of the book you were able to read. Members active in book club take turns selecting the books.

Adult Night Out is scheduled occasionally and everyone usually meets at a local restaurant. This is one of the few events where children are not encouraged to attend.

Service projects may include donating your time and/or items to a local group in the community.
