Friday,September 16, 2005 31 weeks, 6 days I went in for the NST. Caitlyn wanted to hide the whole time. They finally, after an hour, got all the info they needed. I then went for my 3D u/s. They are measuring about the same as yesterday, there were a few differences. Caitlyn is laying face down so we can never see her face!!! I got more pictures of Charlotte's face though. Caitlyn is determined that we won't know what she looks like until she's born!
Friday, September 16 - Sunday, September 18, 2005 31 weeks, 6 days - 32 weeks, 1 day The twins tried to come Friday night. I started having contractions around 8 pm. I went into the Women's Suite. They started me on brethine and pain meds and monitored my contractions. I was finally discharged Sunday night with brethine pills and strict bed rest. My brother and his girlfriend cleaned up this weekend, watched the girls for us and fixed it to where my computer is right by the sofa. I can now lay down on the sofa and read my mail. :-) I need to make it 2-3 more weeks. 3 weeks is my goal. 5 would be 37 weeks and full term.
Tuesday, September 20, 2005 32 weeks, 3 days My urine and BP was fine. I have gained 11 pounds since last Friday! I couldn't believe it! They even weighed me on the same exact scale they did on Friday (they have 2 scales there). Since I am mainly there just for NST, they took me to the NST room. They found Charlotte's HB right away, but couldn't keep Caitlyn still long enough. SO they decided to continue running the strip on Charlotte and when the u/s room opened up, they would take me in there to locate exactly where Caitlyn's HB was. So, they took me in there and located Caitlyn's heartbeat. The little boogers have moved again!!!! Now they are laying on top of each other! So, we went back to the NST room and they found Charlotte's HB right away (hers has always been a tad higher than Caitlyn's) but Caitlyn kept moving and hiding from them. Little stinker! They ran a HB strip on Charlotte and also checked me for contractions. Then I went back to the u/s room so they could run a HB strip on Caitlyn via u/s. I got to see her have the hiccups too. I couldn't feel them; I guess because her chunky sister was in the way. LOL

Thursday, September 22, 2005 32 weeks, 5 days I spent the afternoon in the maternity suite for observation. This time for Charlotte. She wanted to be lazy during the NST, even after the dr. zapped her 3 times! Caitlin was a wonderful angel this time! The dr. has learned his lesson and now takes me straight to ultrasound first to see where the babies are, then takes me for NST. I still have contractions in between my terbutaline pills. The pills last maybe 4 hours rather than the 6 he prescribed them for. I have also swollen up like a bull frog!!! My ankles are huge. Heck, my whole foot is swollen. My fingers are, I even have "water patches" on my belly where I'm retaining water so bad. I am so miserable! My urine and BP were fine. I'm measuring 36 weeks (I'm 32; almost 33). And I haven't gained any weight since Tuesday. My restless leg syndrome has gotten worse.
