The Miracle League of North
Alabamais a league designed for children with special needs.
This chapter if you will, is located in Huntsville, Alabama, and serves Madison County and
surrounding counties.
This web sight is designed to pass on information about sports for children with
disabilities. We here at the Miracle League are very active in promoting sports of all kinds.
Being a coach and father to a boy with special needs, I know how difficult it is to find activities
that are designed around and for children with special needs. The Miracle League is designed to
allow any child or young adult with a mental or physical disability the chance to participate in sports
geared to giving them the most out of the sport. The coaches work to improve their ability and help to
give them confidence to tackle any obstical they may come accross. For us coaches, the reward we get is
watching these kids improve and start to challenge themselves to work harder and strive to acheive their goals.
There is no fee involved for any child particapating, all uniforms and suppllies are furnished.
All that is required is that you show up for some fun and excersise.
At the end of each sport, there is usally a banquet or a party and there the kids are given medals,
pins or certificates. Its our way of showing them we are we appreciate their effort.
