James is a metro cop like his parents and his parent's parents.   Growing up in the sprwal of Old Quebec, he learned his trade well.

He grew as a fairly normal child, if a bit quiet. In his teens he excelled in his analytical and physical skills. Mentally he displayed a keen understanding of human affairs (both political and social) and a desire to protect anyone less advantaged than he. He also was very adamant in inflicting as much suffering as possible on those who were dishonest and took advantage of others. By the time he graduated valedictorian of his high school class, it was certain he was destined for a promising career as a lawyer.

Following in his family’s footsteps he enrolled in the Metro Securities Training Track of the Quebec Spire. Excelling at his studies and athletics, Jim was a sure bet for any Metro Security. Much to their disappointment, he decided to stay home after graduation. The Quebec Sprawl Securities welcomed him into their family immediately. Having grown up with most of the men, he was with family.

He progressed quickly through the ranks and landed a Detective’s office early in his career. Busting many of the larger traffickers in outlaw tech, he became something of a local legend. Unfortunately, this also meant an infamy among the seedier elements of society. Such elements often take grudges to a personal level. In Jim’s case, they took the grievance up with his family. All of them were killed in a "terrorist" attack on one of the housing projects. The whole block was reduced to a rubble inferno in a matter of seconds. Jim was halfway across the Metro when the district exploded. The Case was handed over to an anti-terrorism unit working out of the Quebec Central Hub and a fringe group of malcontents were blamed.

Jim hated backing away from a fight, but he needed new barings. Quebec no longer seemed like home and he questioned the loyalty of those he was working for. He put in a transfer to the East Coast Central Spire and it was immediately approved.

His current case involves a ritualistic subway killer nicknamed Drac, after his ivicerated victims.
