When you have finished reading all the topics in a forum click on "read all topics", it will then note that you have read all the topics in that forum and if any new topic/reply is posted then you will know by the folder symbol to the left of the forum/topic. If you mark "read all forums" from the main page then all topics in all forums are marked as read.
