| When newborn, the puppies only weigh about 1 pound. Their eyes and ears are still sealed so they cannot see nor hear yet. They rely on their sense of smell to find mom and her milk and can crawl to get around. While sleeping you will see their body jerk and twitch quite frequently. This is normal for a healthy pup. They are born with a strong suckling reflex. |
