Here's the view of the new section of Edinburgh from high atop Edinburgh Castle.  A lake (or loch) used to seperate the town, but it was drained in either the 1600's or 1700's due to problems with pollution.  The old bridges are still there.
I took this picture just down the street from Edinburgh Castle.  This is how most of the old section of town looks.
Here's another view from the same place in Edinburgh Castle.  This is the old seciton of town.  You can probably see part of the wall of the castle, as well as the dome of that building in the picture on top.
Here's another view of Edinburgh from the same place in Edinburgh Castle.  Down below on one of those buildings is where a webcam resides.  A friend of mine saw my other friends wave at the camera from Vance, Alabama live!  If he'd only captured the image!
Here's a view of Urquart Castle, the ruins I visited at Loch Ness.  Not much there, just a lot of ruins.  Nice view of Loch Ness from here, though.  Somebody apparently caught a "glimpse" at the Loch Ness Monster from that tower on the left years ago.  All I saw was that monster float off with my $3.50!  Stupid monster!  I'll make sure next time I'm buying cookies from a REAL girlscout!
Here I am yelling at that confound Loch Ness Monster!  He took my $3.50!
