Robert Lee Armstrong was born January 8th of 1979 in a log cabin in the boonies. First started taking guitar lessons from his Dad for a brief period. Rob being left handed, played the guitar with his leading hand. Rob left the guitar for a while and then returned to it later on in his youth, only playing it right-handed. Rob instatnly progressed on his instrument and began joining every band possible. His days as a musical slut began with his first band, The Onlookers which featured Shawn Till on guitar and Daniel Mullock on the drums. Rob played bass for the band, but quit after their first show at The Wild Rose in September of 1995. Rob found performing live to be too nerve racking and did not join another band until a year after. Rob joined the psuedo-grunge/punk outfit Myagi. Rob was once again playing bass, only this time Rob whipped out his mother's pink yamaha bass which would soon become legendary. Towards the later days of Myagi, Rob began to work on musical projets which featured him on guitar like The 3 Banditos and Rob Armstrong & Friends. Rob quit Myagi in early 1997, and he and Tavo formed Eggs Benedict & The Fruit Flavored Spring Waters. Having to ensure he was busy playing music at all times, Rob also joined The Ordeal, a reincarnation of the Onlookers which had his and Till's musical roles reversed, and them spliting the vocal duties. The Onlookers only played one show, and EBATFFSW transformed into Tasty, with Bruce Kernaghan on bass, and Rob now the guitar/vocalist. Tasty became Rob's main musical focus for the next few years, but also found time to play in a few other side project bands like Han's Kitchen, Spruce Moose & The Spaz Freakies, MmmHmm, Optimus Prime and Apocalypso. Apocalypso became his next focus until the band's disbandment in July of 2000. Rob has since played a few gigs with Tasty and a few different formations of MmmHmm. Rob is currently working alone on his solo-acoustic material.
