           inoo at Binibini ng Overseas Filipinos is primarily a search for the young
            man and woman who could serve as the face and voice of Overseas
            Filipinos.

As a unique event and the first-ever personality search of its kind, the search for Ginoo at Binibini ng Overseas Filipinos aims to focus the spotlight on Overseas Filipinos at a time when they are finally learning to reassert themselves and are making themselves heard and seen more in the overall Philippine scenario, and at a time when government and media are, at long last, beginning to realize the importance of giving attention to their plight, concerns, welfare and well-being.

This competition further aims to:

1. Encourage the relatives of overseas kababayans or overseas and foreign-bred
     Filipinos themselves to speak up on issues that concern or are important to
     overseas Filipinos;

2. Let them share their experiences with, and in the process learn from,
     one another;

3. Discover potential spokespersons for the causes of Overseas Filipinos;

4. Raise awareness about the reality of the Filipino diaspora, its positive as well
     as negative effects.

5. Serve as a stepping stone for these relatives of Overseas Filipinos to further
     their goals in life;

6. Discover potential movie stars and fashion & commercial models among
     them; and

7. Raise funds for the Foundation's free newsletter for Overseas Filipinos.
