            he search is open to males and females, Filipino citizens or foreign pass-
            port holders*, who may be daughters, sons, sisters, brothers, grand-
children, nieces or nephews of Overseas Filipinos (OFWs, permanent residents abroad, et al) or who are former OFWs themselves.

*Foreign-bred "Filipinos" (those who were born or grew up abroad) are also qualified to join provided they are presently in the country or can come to the country not later than May 1, 2002 and can stay until June 15.

Prospective candidates should possess the following qualifications:

1. 16 to 27 years old
2. Single or married
3. At least high school graduates or are currently in high school
4. Pleasing personality
5. Ability to express their thoughts and ideas
     (fluency in English is not necessarily an advantage)
6. Proportionate physique
7. Presentable

Ultimately, all applicants must espouse at least one cause or support an issue relevant to overseas Filipinos (e.g., dual citizenship, the absentee voting bill, the preservation or inculcation of Philippine culture, pride in one's Filipino identity, the importance of family, the effect of labor migration on the Filipino family, abuse & maltreatment of OFWs, the Veterans quity Bill, protecting Filipinos abroad, etc.)

HOW TO JOIN

Interested individuals may start sending e-mail to [email protected] with their name, address, telephone number, celfone number, at least one picture (close-up, low resolution, jpeg format), name and location of Overseas Filipino relative as well as relation to him/her* or if residents abroad themselves, city & country of residence.

All received entrants shall be scheduled for pre-screening. Pre-screenings shall be held in April, the exact dates and venue of which will be announced later.

*Proof of relation should be presented during the pre-screening. Proofs may be any of the following (fax copies are acceptable): birth certificate, passport of Overseas Filipino relative, letters, e-mails, other documents.

SELECTION PROCESS

Announcement of the official candidates -- fifteen (15) males and fifteen (15) females -- will be made in late April.
