After some success with MegaMan X. Capcom release several more "X" games. Starting with X2 then X3 and in 1997, MegaMan X4 came blasting onto the PlayStation with upgraded 32-bit graphics. The final chapter in the "X" saga was released in 2001 as MegaMan X5. This game ended with Zero being killed and locked away in a chamber to regenerate(which led to MegaMan Zero).
This was supposed to be the end.....
But, in 2002 MegaMan X6 was released and, lets face it, it sucked. Trying to make up for their mistake Capcom released the 3d cel-shaded MegaMan X7 which, to most fans, was a punch straight in the face(read our review).
At E3 2004, Capcom showcased what looks to be the final chapter in the "X" saga. This cel-shaded, high budget game, will ship to te US sometime Fall 2004.
