Understand how air flow affects the lift of the wing Little to no effort, no understanding of air flow, and minimal sentences. A couple of sentences is provided. Shows an understanding of air flow but does not demonstrate fully the concept. Not quite a paragraph in length. Barely one paragraph is submitted Fully describes and demonstrates air flow. Can see that the student put in extra effort while researching. Provides 1-2 paragraphs fully showing their knowledge.
Understands the relationship of air speed and pressure over a surface Slightly researches the concept, little understanding of air speed and pressure. Few sentences are submited. Shows an understanding of the concepts but does not fully depict their understanding. Almost a paragraph in length Describes the concept and goes in detail. Does not merely tell the definition but expands on the definition with clarity. Provides 1-2 paragraphs fully showing their knowledge.
Understands how Newton's 3rd Law Applies to Lift Few sentences with no effort put in at all. States the definition but hardly goes beyond Newton's 3rd Law. Not quite a full paragraph in length. Shows the definition and fully explains it. Paragraph or more in length and has obviously spent time in researching Newton's 3rd Law. Provides 1-2 paragraphs fully showing their knowledge.
From the 5 equations given student understands how to manipulate the Bernoulli's equation using legitimate algebraic procedures. One problem use Microsoft  Equation Editor Gives the answer with no work submitted or has work with missing steps. Does not attempt to show the solution of a problem in Microsoft Word Equation Editor. Rest of equations are not solved and work is very sloppy Shows work but makes mistakes when manipulating Bernoulli's equation. Uses Microsoft Word Equation Editor but misses steps and is not complete. Rest of equations are solved but miss some steps. Shows all work with correct steps. Understands how to fully manipulate the equation using correct algebraic methods. Problem #4 is solved using Microsoft Equation Editor and is fully complete. The rest of the equations are solved neatly and fully on a normal piece of paper.
Neatness, grammar, and overall quality and appearance Obviously put together at the last minute. Not much thought or time involved. Grammar is not correct and makes major grammatical errors. Not double spaced or in paragraph form. Double spaced, some grammatical errors, paragraph form, and sufficient time spent on the paper. Equation from Microsoft Equation Editor looks acceptable. The paper is double spaced, few or no grammatical errors. Paper looks professional and equation from Microsoft Equation Editor is fully complete and lacks no steps.
