“If you ever see an image and it activates
another sense beside sight, then you have experienced exactly what
I am attempting to accomplish with my art.”
“If you ever hear
a song and it reminds you of a particular time in your life…
then you have experienced exactly what I am trying to accomplish
with my music.”
Ever since she was a little girl E. Jean loved
to tell stories. One time, when she was four, she drew a picture
of a cat on the living room wall. When asked about the drawing,
E. Jean told her parents the extravagant tale of John and Yo Yo…
her two imaginary friends who were responsible for the drawing.
Jean’s mom was inclined to believe the elaborate tale because
she was having trouble believing her four year old daughter was
capable of the excellent drawing.
Also as a little girl, E. Jean started writing
one of her greatest stories ever… her journal. Her passion
for writing proved noteworthy on more than one occasion as she often
won awards for her short stories and poetry in school. As she got
older her stories got better. Realizing that one day her life story
would be heard by millions, she began to write detailed journal
entries of her twisted social life, abstract views of the world
and her fairy tale of a love life.
E. Jean would tell her life story to anyone who
was so intrigued to ask. Her good friends from New York (Kristi
and Megan) loved to hear the amazing tales of E. Jean. One day another
Long Islander, a certain Sarah Dengal, told Jean she must write
a book. Being she had always wanted to anyway, that very night E.
Jean started the first chapter. Two years later, she finished the
writing the book while living in Chicago. Unable to find a publisher,
E. Jean edited, printed, published and hand bound her own book.
There remain only two copies in circulation.
Currently E. Jean is working on a short
fiction story inspired by her three favorite authors Christopher
Pike, Terry Brooks, and J. K. Rowling. She is also working on a
documentary biographical-scrapbook of her exploits following her
favorite band (Lucky Boys Confusion) on tour.
