The History of Emly, mentions a Leddin in a discussion of faction fights in Emly : "Faction fights took place at funerals and fairs. The leader of the Four Year Olds was Maurice Fitzgerald ...Paddy Leddan was Leader of the Three Year Olds. In the 1830's a treaty was made on the summit of Knocklong between Paddy Leddan, the leader of the Three Year olds and Maurice Fitzgerald, the captain of the Four Year Olds. For nearly thirty years peace reigned."

Leddin's in Galbally, Co Limerick

Michael Leddin of Garrynalina townland, Galbally (Mitchelstown, Coshlea) is found in the Tithe Applotment of 1830, as well as the Griffiths Valuations of 1852.
He was renting Lot 7a, from Thomas Sadlier, which consisted of house and land (2 acres, 1 perch). There is also mention of a Michael Leddin of Garrynalina townland mentioned in the Valuation Lists of 1863, 1873 and 1876.

Leddin's in Kilfinnane, Co Limerick

John Leddin of Upper Ballyroe townland, Kilfinnane (Killmallock, Small County), was found in the Griffiths Valuations of 1852, as a tenant of a David Costello. He was renting a house and office.

Leddin's in Ballinard, Co. Limerick

Patrick Leddin of Roulagh townland, Ballinard, was found in the Tithe Applotments of 1834, and of Rootiagh townland, Ballinard, in the Griffith Valuations in 1851.

Leddin's in Hospital, Co. Limerick

Timothy Leddin of Ballycahill townland, Hospital (Killmallock, Small County), was found in the Tithe Applotments of 1834 and in the Griffiths Valuations of 1851, as a tenant of Standish Rowley (as Rep.).
He occupied lots 6a / 6b, which consisted of land (13acres, 0 roods, 1 perch). He is also listed in the Valuation Lists, in 1862, 1864, 1866 and 1873. 

"According to the Parish Register at Emly, there is a Timothy Leddin who married Mary Murphy, on 26th July, 1816. This could be one and the same gentleman."

kilmallock Church
Patrick Leddin, of Ballycahill and Newtown townlands, Hospital (Killmallock, Small County), is found in the Griffiths Valuations of 1851, as a tenant of Standish Rowley (as Rep.).
He was renting Lot 25a, which consisted of a house land and office (stable or out building), (13 acres, 2 roods and 29 perches). He is also found, just in the Ballycahill townland, In the Valuation Lists for 1862.

Edmund Leddin, of Ballycahill, Hospital (Killmallock, Small County), is found in the Valuation Lists in 1885, 1890 and 1906, and is also found in the 1901 census, in the same area.

William Leddin, of Ballycahill, Hospital (Killmallock, Small County), is found in the Valuation Lists of 1862, 1864, 1873, 1885, 1906 and 1931, and is also found listed in the 1901 census, for that area.

Catherine Leddin of Barrysfarm (Killmallock, Small County), is found in the Valuation Lists of 1862, 1864 and 1866.

Edmond Leddin of Barrysfarm (Killmallock, Small County), is found in the Valuation Lists of 1855.

William Leddin married Johanna Condon, (see Emly reference) of Ballincarroona townland, Kilfrush (Killmallock, Small County), is found in both the Tithe Applotments in 1833 and the Griffiths Valuation of 1851, as a tenant of Joseph Gubbins.
He was renting Lot 10a, which consisted of a house, land and office (stable / outbuilding),(23acres, 1 rood and 35 perches)
