Eastern India is one of the neediest parts of the world. Thousands of villages are without churches and the Christian presence in most of this area is minimal. We ask you to pray for the work of YWAM in this part of the world.
YWAM is working in the east India area at several locations. We now have about 100 staff and students in 12 locations. There are plans on the table for a 13th location right now and preliminary discussions about a 14th one are beginning. We need people to help us in east India!
We have the following opportunities for short-term and long-term work:
Our next Area staff conference is coming up in Patna from March 14-17, 2008.
One of our present great needs is our vision to have 4 DTSes up and running by July of 2008. We'll have a Hindi-English DTS in Patna, Bihar, a Bengali-English one in Kolkata, an Oriya-English DTS in the capital of Orissa, Bhubaneswar, and finally a Hindi-English DTS in Port Blair in the Andaman Islands. We need DTS leaders and staff for these schools. Please keep this in prayer and contact us if interested.
