The follwowing three ancestors of mine arrived on February 2, 1910 from Bremen, Germany aboard the okret/ship Neckar; they travelled in steerage (third class); they had been residing in Worochowec, Worochowice (Lomza), Poland, but they were all most likely born in Polkowo, Poland (both places of which were at that time part of the Russian Empire); they came to America to be with Michal's brother, Alexander Konoza, of 4823 Cresson Street, Manayunk, Philadelphia, PA--they would later live 5 blocks away in the 4500 block of Ritchie Street; they were all three able to read and write:

height= 4'10", black hair and blue eyes, 18 y/o farm laborer
(Rosalia "Rose" Konoza--my great-grandmother)
height= 5'8", blonde hair and blue eyes, 38 y/o house wife
(Franziska Konoza--must've been my grandfather's older sister)
height= 4'8", black hair and brown eyes, 20 y/o maid servant

This following anscestor arrived on December 18, 1905 from the port of Naples, Campania, Italy aboard the Algeria; he was 15 years and 7 months old when he arrived; he had worked as a farm laborer, living in Paternopoli, Italy; he was literate in his own language; he came to see his brother Nicola, who lived at 827 Fitzwater Street in Philadelphia, PA, and later settled in Chester, PA:

...this link lists his age as 17, but if you read the manifest below very carefully, you'll find that he was only 15, which matches almost exactly with his birthdate of 4/11/1890 according to the Social Security Death Index...
