Backyard Foundry
WARNING...
Meting and casting metals is extremely dangerous!  There is a very real risk of severe burns, explosions, and even death.  I am not responsible for anyone who tries to do this on their own.  This page is not an instruction manual, but a means for me to share my hobby.
My Backyard Foundry
A couple of years ago, I found some websites that described folks building their own foundries to melt metals.  This intrigued me.  In 2003, I built a propane-fired furnace and some of the other items to start my own backyard foundry.  I have learned some since then, and enjoy the sound of the burner roaring and the sight of molten aluminum.

This page will hopefully document some of my experiences, successes, and failures.
