My mother finally arrived 1 wk after Coby was born� thank goodness!! This was about the time I finally crashed and needed tons of rest. She has been incredible in helping us get our Condo into shape and helping with feeding, cleaning, and doctoring our little guy. She�s even feeding Mama and Papa too. I�m quickly learning some good recipes- perhaps we will limit the ordering out for food in the future. We�re very lucky that she will spend 3 weeks with us and teach us how to care for a baby. What a better teacher than a Mom that�s a pediatrician too!
Like his father and mother, Coby loves to eat. He readily accepts whatever food we are willing to provide- be it breastmilk, formula or just plain old water (for those times when he wants to eat between meals). The breast feeding has been a challenge because I am not producing enough milk. Therefore, we have to supplement with formula.
First Pediatrician Visit
Coby had his 2-week check-up and we�re proud to report he is a healthy 7lbs 2oz measuring 20.5 inches! Although we are thrilled that he is progressing, it is also sad to see how quickly he is growing already. To some of you, this may sound like I�m ready for another little one- BUT no way! Recovery has been a painful experience. Perhaps time will obliterate this in my memory (that�s the way it has been with Martin�s marathons after all).
Coby�s birth has been a truly wonderful time in our lives and we consider ourselves very fortunate. We wish everyone a Happy Holidays.
