The objective of the Mark Keppel High Drill Team is to provide students with the opportunity to:

A. Develop an understanding of the importance of team effort, camaraderie, and loyalty.


B. Understand the importance of hard work and the rewards gained from being disciplined and dedicated.


C. Develop leadership skills, self-confidence, and personal dignity.


D. Understanding the importance of giving "respect" and being respected.


E. Strengthen their knowledge and understanding of performance, music, choreography, and physical conditioning.


F. Prepare them for performances at competition level in order for them to experience and be enriched by exposure to the diversity of other teams.


G. Develop and maintain a positive, respectful, and professional rapport with MKHS faculty, staff, administrators, and peers.


H. Develop creativity, choreography skills, critical thinking, methods of improvisation, and how to produce material for team productions.
