Creating your own works for download to the REB 1100 is fairly easy.  Unfortuanetely, RCA appears wary of this prospect as they have removed this feature from the eBook librarian.  To create content, download any of the following programs to turn text/html into usable "rb" files.

Rocket Librarian -- Use the old Rocketbook Librarian software to import text files and html files as well as direct url import (must be online) to create REB 1100 files.  Use the eBook librarian to import and install.

Rbmake -- Rbmake is a "book maker" for the Rocket eBook. It consists of a set of command line tools that assemble or disassemble .rb files -- the book format that is native to the REB 1100.

A good book making tutorial is available at the Rocket Library web site.  For broader information about ebooks, see the eBook Technical FAQ, adetailed article about creating content.  Another publisher, Zip Publishing offers an article in adobe acrobat format for creating content.

A nicely done site dedicated to eBook content creation is Movable Type Redux by Sam McDonald.  Not recently updated but still contains good resources.
