| School Board The school board is made up of trustees who are elected by the community. The trustees hire the superintendant and secretary treasurer, approve continuing contracts of administrators and teachers, and are active members of the District Decision Making Council. |
District Decision Making Council (DDMC)
The DDMC works as a team, similar to the SBDM council from Starcrest school. All decisions impacting the district, not specific to individual schools, are made by this council. This council also works on consensus where each member of the team needs to agree with the decision being made. If a consensus is unable to be made, then a vote will be taken, of which 80% need to be voting the same way for a decision to be made. If 80% cannot be met, further research and discussion will occur. This model of DDMC also has task forces to assist in the decision making process. The following task forces exist:
