| Despite the wide array of forms (60+), drills and techniques contained within My Jong Law Horn, the core remains the primary Law Horn hand forms, weapon forms and two person forms. These provide the stylistic distinctiveness, backbone, tactical theory and techniques of the art. My Jong Law Horn is characterized by its deceptive strikes, kicks, footwork, and takedowns. These are overtly employed through seemingly long range movements and the confusing use of timing, space, speed and power. Movements may appear superficially fragile and elemental but unfold into a variety of sophisticated yet practical techniques. A doctrine of power generation through supple flowing movements provide explosive and fast focused strikes that maximize energy efficiency. Dissonant and deceptive footwork along with confusing angles of approach allows multiple target engagement while minimizing exposure. Sifu Wong's martial legacy also includes the styles of Dao Gar Liang Yi and Tai Chi Tong Long. Both these styles are distinctive in their own right but they also complement and provide important supplemental as well as auxiliary aspects to My Jong Law Horn. |
