U.S. Government Experience (cont'd)

I have extensive experience conducting personnel suitability investigations and I am considered very knowledgeable on conducting, and running background investigative programs both in the Department of Defense, and the Department of State. I managed the BI program in the DSS Los Angeles Field Office and assigned 35 contractors investigative leads and updates for the Department of State. I had the opportunity to be assigned for 60 days in Saudi Arabia to complete a backlog of 90 derogatory BI's. At every embassy I have served at, I completed background investigations that included investigative leads, interviewing personal references, conducting record checks and conducting personal interviews of employees for every federal agency represented at the U.S. Embassy.

Other overseas and domestic assignments have included various security roles at the Untied Nations General Assembly, 2000 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics, diplomatic protection of U.S. personnel in the Gaza Strip, and worldwide protective service with several Secretary's of State.

Upon completion of my being recalled involuntarily to active military service with the U.S. Naval Reserve, I resigned from the Foreign Service in 2003 to pursue other security employment endeavors with Princess Cruises.
