Leader of Across. Black hair. Yellow eyes. Idolized by Excel. By setting up the Secret Ideal Organisation Across, Il Palazzo plans to take over the world. But he'll start by taking over the city. Arguably more insane then Excel, he sets a mission for our heroines every episode. He is also a very comedic character, parodying the evil overlords of anime. The best parts are when he's doing something totally out of character, like playing dominoes, or his handheld video games.

*Excel Saga*
Last name Excel, given name Excel, In other words, I'm Excel. Blonde hair. Green eyes. This is the main character. Alias: Hanako Dosukoi. 2 years part time job history. 3rd level abacus. No past offences. Also we have Angel Excel and Devil Excel (good and bad) - the latter getting shot by the former: "The bullet of justice will always demolish evil."

Princess Hyatt arrives at the end of episode 2 in a pod. As we see in the next episode, there is good reason for this. She is how can I put this...) quite fragile. Liked by Il Palazzo, loved by Watanabe, she has this cute way of drooling blood when you're talking to her. She is also very lucky, very quiet and sweet... oh, and prone to die on you - the opposite of Excel (except for the dying part ^_^;).

*Menchi*
Emergency food source. Beige hair. Black eyes. He (actually female, but I can't cope with the concept of a female dog) is 'adopted' (read: captured) by Excel in episode 1, to serve as an emergency food ration. As Excel's thought process puts it: "Dog -> Animal -> Meat!" Menchi's song at the end of the episode (which is essentially just him barking) has a karaoke version on the single... presumably you're supposed to bark along to it for 4 minutes ^_^;
