Brown hair. Nabeshin is always running from various men in black, always knows some extra in each episode, and always appears for no reason. It is yet to be seen whether or not his plot-line (such that it is) will expand alongside the... I almost said 'normal' then... anyway, the 'other' plot-line. ^_^;; Watanabe is rumoured to actually BE like Nabeshin in real life. A foreign labour worker. Black hair. Green eyes. Works in a construction site in episode 1, where Excel 'helps' him regain his sense of pride in his work. This is the unluckiest guy in the world - kind of the opposite of comic relief (and believe me you need it)... or he would be, if only watching horrible things happen to him wasn't so funny. Has an adorable son called Sandora and a sexy wife back home.

Anime version of the original manga author. He's obsessed with anime girls, and has a vast array of models and posters in his room. He sings to himself while he's drawing: "Rikudoh, Rikudoh, the manga kid, Always skipping out on the job." and: "La-la-la. Manga authors are the scum of the world, the failures of life, Lu-lu-lu. It doesn't matter if one dies. La-la-la."

The two girls who do the theme tune also cosplay as Excel and Hyatt. I had there names somewhere, but I can't find them for the mo. Anyway, they appear at several points in the series to generally pester Excel and get her in trouble.
