Archives of Summer 2004
...everything's alive and strong
the sky is wide and open

there is forever, it feels tonight
I have forever tonight
even with the window closed I can
     feel that it is summer

it's summer and I'm free
--^that^ was up all summer--

Summer is drawing to a close but at least it's been a hell of a summer.  Haha, I just said "hell of a summer."  At least it wasn't "helluvasummer," that would've been really annoying.

I think I'm going to add more music stuff, about concerts and such.  But as foreshadowing, the 8/6 John Mayer concert at Pine Knob was simply the best concert I've ever been to.

I spent last week in Bayfield, Canada (near Grand Bend, I've found I've had to tell people) with Ali and her family.  An elaboration on that period of time, on what we planned to call the second leg of our summer tour '04, will be up shortly on a page that could be titled nothing other than "Live It Up, Fuckers!" or maybe just "Living It Up."  I don't know which.  Okay, to stick with the declarative precedent, it'll have to be "
Live It Up, Fuckers!"  I gained six siblings last week, in a way.  Definitely two sisters.  Eh, all of them.

Now I'm frantically (in a lazy sort of manner) trying to fill this last week with everything I didn't do yet.  The exhilarating living it up of the past week has diminished, but it's sealed the unbelievably thrilling and consummate essence of what is undeniably my best summer yet.       --8/22/04

Don't think I'll write anything here, because it won't fit the happy, free air of the homepage at the moment.

I changed it so that it would be different, but I can't put anything of what I'm thinking up here.

It's summer.
It's summer.
It's summer.
It's summer.
Free.
Fun.

Shut up, brain.
It's summer.
It's summer.
It's summer.
It's summer.
It's summer.
IT'S SUMMER AND I'M FREE.

It's past a month since I updated, and a lot's happened, probably.

We went on our road trip and saw John Mayer and the Old 97's and travelled IN, IL, and WI.  The lesson was
Use Real Sugar.  Ha.

Two revisions of the Story were completed, it was declared wonderful by Ali's grandma, and the third revision is underway.

I'm adding to and rearranging this site.  New stuff will be clearly marked, though this text box won't change for a while.  Soon, the books and music pages will be updated--lots has changed.

There's a John Mayer concert in ten days, and I'm going to Canada with Ali's family for a week.  Then there's registration.  But right now, summer's only just past half over.

I haven't been swimming yet, not even to the pool, but there've been concerts and biking and frisbee and fireflies and sneaking out.  Okay, no sneaking out.  But exploring cities and just great times with friends. I feel silly now.  But really, it is summer.
It's summer and we're free.
