The below infromation has been modified somewhat to clarify a few things as was thought necessary. Installing user created 2002 courses in Tiger Woods 2003 Here is a brief tutorial on how to get TW2002 courses to install into TW2003 The Course Utilities looks for the Tiger Woods 2002 library files when anyone tries to install a TW2002 course into TW2003. Therefore: *You must have the TW2002 course disk or you can import the libraries from TW2002 to TW2003. For this tutorial, let's assume you don't have TW2002 installed. ( They are also available for free from EA and Notapro as downloads. The link is above and on my main page. ) *Insert the disk into the drive. *Go to your TW2003 "Courses" folder (usually "C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\ Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 2003\Courses") on your hard drive using an explorer window and create a new folder that will be used to hold the 6 *.tcl files we need to install. Name that folder "TW2002 Libraries". *Note: (I used the names "2002 Libraries" and "2003 Libraries" on my hard drive because it lists them right below the courses folder and is easy to find but the choice is yours. Just be consistent with what you do.) I also made a folder and seperated 2003 Libraries from 2002...and was probably not necessary ---RD *Go to TW2003 Course Utilities and open that program. *Click on Install, then look to the window on the top left of the CU (Course Utilities) and click on the drive letter that the TW2002 Courses disk is located. *Look for the courses folder on the CD, click on it. Then go to the first course Pebble Beach and click on that folder. You should see two listings...one is Pebble Beach.tcr and the other is PebbleBeach.tcl. *Click on the Pebble Beach.tcl. then look in the right hand window of the CU (Course Utilities) and locate the Courses folder under TW2003. Click on the Courses folder and locate your new "TW2002 Libraries" folder. Click on it until it opens. Making sure that Pebble Beach.tcl is highlighted in the lower left window of the course utilities and that the TW2002 Libraries folder is OPEN, click "Install" to install the Pebble Beach Library. *Once the library is installed, then continue the above process until you have ALL 6 TW2002 libraries installed. *PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL JUST THE "*.TCL" LIBRARIES. Every course has one and the course name is followed by a *.tcl extension. Those are the ones you need to install and each of the six course folders has a tcl file with the name of the course folder. *Once these library installations are completed, you can now begin to install and play the TW 2002 courses that are available on the internet. Note: The *.tcx extension is the compressed course file and the *.tcl extension is the library file used with the course. |
