| Friday, June 29, 2001 Not much to report in Cheese-land. The live album from '91 still isn't finished, the studio album is far from finished, and we don't have any gigs lined up. Whaddaya gonna do, right? I wonder if we could get some sorta poll-taking device and take a poll on everyone's favorite Cheese song. I knew a guy who had a pole-taking device, boy seemed like he never left his room. In other news, I'm off to the wedding of Andy Anderson tomorrow, along with Real Cheese's attorney, Dan Mulvihill. We promise to drink enough for all of you. Monday, June 25, 2001 I'm still having trouble with High School Hotties. The song is giving me trouble too. (yuk yuk) This inspired me to start the song title contest. Think you have a good concept or title for a Real Cheese song but no time or know-how to write it? E-mail it to us and we'll give it a go (if we like your idea). The winner gets a beer and a wonderful sense of self-satisfaction. Like Kool-Aid Man says, "Oh yeah!" Added some groovy pictures to the photos page. Real Cheese needs to play live - someone think of a good time and place for us to play. We don't need money - just cold beer and an audience. We'll even go for warm beer if we have to. This site needs the pizzaz that outside contributions will add. Take a lesson from Pat Carney and write about Cheese. Thursday, June 21, 2001 I've decided to go to work on a song I've entitled "High School Hotties." I've got some ideas, but its hard to write this one without it being all cliched. So if you have any good ideas, e-mail me. I think this could be a classic. It is now officially Summer - the official season of Real Cheese. Yes, sure, we've played some great shows in Autumn, Winter and Spring... and written some wonderful songs about cold weather (like "The Root Beer Panic of 1902")... but let's face it, Real Cheese thrives on Summertime. So, write your local congressman and have them schedule a Real Cheese show. Also, if you play an instrument, ask us nicely and we'll let you play on the new album. And we still haven't found the right filler for the live CD, so you'll have to wait. Kiss my ass! Monday, June 11, 2001 Yes, finally a new update. I've added a couple of rockin' pics to the photos page, including one of General Hal and his hero, Grimace. Jeff and I are closer to finishing that Live '91 cd- we're just picking some cool filler to round out the disc. In other news, friend of Real Cheese Ronit Feinglass is in town this week, and we'll be boozing it up tomorrow night at WXOU Radio bar on Hudson Street. E-mail me for details. Also, this man needs a job. Sunday, June 3, 2001 Well, kids, we've made it to a new month and a brand new page in the Cheese Diary! You can catch up on all the excitement you may have missed in May right here. I've posted a new survey response on the Other Crap page, from the renowned philosopher and social critic Ed Pancreas. See how much fun it is to answer the survey? You get to be semi-famous in Cheese circles and have it posted right here on the site. Just like Pat Carney, who wrote the AMAZING rememberance of the events of August 18, 1990, better known to Cheeseheads as THE LAST BAWLTZ. Someone really should step up to the plate and write about CHEESESTOCK. Gotta go now, this Beach Boys CD requires more attention. Mike Love is screaming about sex or something similarly distasteful to hear Mike Love scream about. Iron Chef - Bobby Flay rematch tonight and I am STOKED! MAY 2001 DIARY ENTRIES |
