| Tuesday, October 23, 2001 Okay, quickly folks... Yes, Dug the Roadie was married this past Saturday in Baltimore, MD. No Real Cheese did not perform (musically anyway). A swell time was had by all. The Live at Salem School '91 CD is just about DONE! Yes! We should be finished with the art and the music any day now and then we'll get it to ya. You're gonna dig this trip down memory lane, especially if you weren't there the first time. What sense does that make? Beats me. I added a couple new pictures to the photos page and should be augmenting it further soon. Fuck Bin Laden. Yeah, you heard me. Thursday, August 23, 2001 Okay, the new album is gonna be delayed until at least late Fall. Jeff's having some surgery (don't worry, he's fine, but feel free to send him well-wishes and cash and/or booze) and it's going to mean we'll have to ease up on our breakneck pace. There's still more recording to do, and we need to get the Madison Battery out to Port Washington to help us lay down some more tracks. Do you play an instrument? Do you want to be on the album? Write us and say so! I'm not kidding! However, to ease your misery, we are nearing the completion of the long awaited release from the vaults, from Salem School 1991 and some special tracks from Thanksgiving 1990. Hot stuff, real old-school. Also, Jeff and I have compiled tracks from the earlier Real Cheese albums, which were previously only available on cassette. Yes, that's right friends, finally a CD best of the early years. Hopefully we can get that mother out to you loyal cheeseheads before Dug the Roadie is a married man. For the old Real Cheese fans, its a walk down memory lane, strewn with profanity and hazy recollections of long nights in a drunken stupor. For the newer fans, its a way to catch up and see what all the fuss was about. (You had to be there, frankly.) In other news, Dave Dempsey and Liz Walsh are happy to announce they've adopted an old fish. Click here to see the happy family. Until next time, keep your head in the stars and your feet in your shoes. Monday, August 6, 2001 Jeff and I were in the studio this weekend, and we laid down some smokin' hot tracks. We also sifted through some bullshit and found some nice material for the new album. Does this mean it will be ready soon? Let's not get hysterical, we're still a ways away. Most of the recording is done, but we need to do some overdubs and then finally to mix the mother. We take our time because we care. Yeah... Tuesday, July 24, 2001 Okay, so I haven't been updating the site this month. Give me a break, will you? Being unemployed is hard work. (Anyone want to hire me? I'm funny and I don't mind making coffee or working late.) Anyway, I've been hangin' on the beach, swingin' in the sand, etc, etc. Cheese hasn't really made any progress on either the vault release or the new album. Jeff's been busy with his "professional" band, so bitch at him - he's got the tapes. Okay, yes, it does take two to be lazy, so you can give me some shit too. But seriously, e-mail him and give him some guff and maybe we'll get that live vault release out post-haste. I've added some groovy new pictures from May of 1999. We were enjoying a brou-ha-ha for Dug the Roadie's birthday. He lived on Avenue B with Todd Newby. Now, he lives in New Jersey and they're both getting married. Amazingly, to attractive women and not to each other. However, except a few job shifts, I've remained pretty much exactly the same. I don't think that's a good thing, but it's not that bad either. I'll have a Tom Collins, please. JUNE 2001 DIARY ENTRIES MAY 2001 DIARY ENTRIES |
