pizza dough
jenny beek (ian's sister)

 

INGREDIENTS

water   1 cup  
quick yeast   1 pkg  
flour   2 1/2 - 3 cups  
olive oil   2 Tbsp  
salt   1/2 tsp  
pizza toppings      

 

METHOD

  • mix water and yeast until dissolved

  • stir in half of the flour, oil and salt

  • combine

  • gradually add the rest of the flour

  • knead until smooth and elastic

  • let rise for 1 1/2 - 2 hours

  • punch down, divide in two, and roll to 1/4 inch thick

  • put on baking pan or pizza stone, top with favourite toppings

  • Bake at 350 degrees for 15 - 30 minutes - until crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted

NOTES

  • really good basic pizza dough.  I rolled mine quite thin, and it was perfect.
