easy spinach dip
from kim plesman
We went to Felicity's
birthday party the other day and Kim had made this - it's so delicious!
INGREDIENTS
| Bacon |
10 slices |
|
| Frozen chopped
spinach (thawed) |
1 (10 oz
package) |
|
| Cream cheese |
1 (8 oz
package) |
|
|
Green onions, chopped |
1/3 cup |
|
| Tomato, diced |
1 cup |
|
| Mozza cheese,
shredded |
1/2 cup |
|
| Cumin |
1/4 tsp |
|
| Salt |
1/4 tsp |
|
| Black pepper |
1/4 tsp |
|
| Garlic powder |
1/4 tsp |
|
METHOD
-
Place bacon in
skillet, cook over med. high heat until evenly brown. Drain, crumble
and set aside.
-
In a med. saucepan
over med. heat, cook and stir the spinach, salsa, cream cheese and
green onions until the cream cheese has melted.
-
Mix in the crumbled
bacon and tomatoes.
-
Remove from heat.
-
Mix in the mozza
cheese, cumin, salt, pepper and garlic.
NOTES
-
I ate it at room
temperature, but Kim says it tastes way better when heated.
Just throw it in the microwave.
-
Kim doesn't never uses
10 slices of bacon - just use as much as your conscience will allow
:)
