| GETTING DONATIONS
$ Identify Potential Donors. Make a list of businesses to contact. $ Choose Your Approach. Decide how to tell donors about your chapter. $ Establish Contact. Try to connect with a personal contact. (ex. Alumni). Be brief and courteous. $ Lay out Your Case. Be specific about your chapter�s goals and needs. Be honest and upfront with potential donors. $ Show Appreciations. Send a handwritten note of thanks. Inform donors of what they helped accomplish. Ask these questions when planning a fundraiser: -HOW MUCH MONEY CAN WE REASONALBLY EXPECT TO EARN? HOW MUCH UPFRONT COST IS INVOLVED IN THIS FUNDRAISER? WHAT PRODUCT OR SERVICE WOULD SELL AT OUR CAMPUS OR COMMUNITY? SHOULD WE GEAR OUR FUNDRAISER TOWARD THE STUDENTS OR THE COMMUNITY?
